DESCRIPTION

Blood Collection Needles, which are also referred as “Vacuum Blood Collection Needle”, are used mainly for routine blood collection and designed exclusively for single-use only.

AccuPoint™ Blood Collection needles offer a simple effective way to collect blood while reducing the incidence of needlestick injuries and discomfort to the patient. The transparent design of the blood collection needles allows for clear visualization of blood flow. The use of AccuQuik vacuum extraction tube reduces the risk of direct exposure to blood and has made it easier to take multiple samples from a single venipuncture.

USAGE
• Remove the cover from the valve section of the needle;
• Thread the needle perpendicularly into the holder. Make sure that the needle is firmly seated;
• Prepare the venipuncture site with antiseptic. Do not touch the cleaned site;
• Push the tube into the holder and onto the needle valve puncturing the rubber diaphragm;
• Center tubes in the holder when penetrating the cap to prevent sidewall penetration;
• Do not allow the contents of the tube to contact the cap or the end of the needle during the procedure. For example, at no time should the tube be turned upside down during the procedure;
• Always hold in place by pressing the tube with the thumb or finger to make sure of complete vacuum draw;
• Once clotting has happened, apply adhesive plaster or bandage if desired;
• After use the needle should be thrown in the proper trash.
